Welcome to the Best Secretary on Tyneside Award 2008! Sponsored by Pitman Training Newcastle and Reed PA and Secretarial

This Award celebrates the key people who we feel really run Tyneside organisations - the secretaries and personal assistants! Focusing on the very best, both in terms of experience and skills, The Best Secretary on Tyneside Award will honour secretaries and PAs who go that extra mile to really make a difference.

The Award has been judged by a panel of experts from Pitman Training, Reed PA & Secretarial, and Vivid Promotional Marketing. The most outstanding candidates attended a short interview by the judging panel. To help the judges make the final decision, the boss of each of those short-listed was asked to submit a testimonial as to why their secretary deserves this prestigious title.

Nominations for this year's competition are now closed. Thank you to everyone who nominated themselves or one of their colleagues for the Award.

A few tickets are still available for the Awards event, so even if you didn't enter the competition, apply for a ticket today.

There is no entry fee.

The competition is open to anyone in a PA or secretarial role who works in postcode areas beginning with 'DH', 'NE' and 'SR'.

Closing date for entries (Part A and Part B of the entry form must be submitted) is 5pm Friday 11th July 2008.

The finalists undertake to co-operate with the promoters to publicise the awards through PR and must be available to attend the final awards ceremony in Newcastle on 6 August 2008.

Applicants who successfully make the shortlist will be contacted to attend a short interview with the judges to provide further information on their career and expertise. They will be required to provide a photograph of themselves for inclusion in promotional material and PR.

The Award will be judged by a panel of members nominated by the Award Sponsors. Every effort will be made to give feedback to entrants, although no specific correspondence will be entered into. The decision of the judging panel for the Award and on all associated matters is final. No submissions will be returned.
