The Best Secretary on Tyneside Awards 2008 was at As You Like It in Jesmond on 6th August 2008. Hosted by Ingrid Hagemann, it was a glamorous affair and one of the nights of the Summer in Newcastle.

The Best Secretary on Tyneside Awards were presented by Jill Stevens, Director of Pitman Training Newcastle.

Jill also presented a number of Pitman Training student awards.

Helen Hunt of ColourMeBeautiful presented personal image and style tips and there was live music from Acoustic Duo. Suzanne Slater of Reed PA & Secretarial Newcastle presented a short film of a photo-shoot of the 'Face of Everything PA' 2008.

The raffle in aid of Save the Children raised over two hundred pounds. The fantastic prizes were generously donated by Swarovski, ColourMeBeautiful NE, Planet, Pitman Training Newcastle, Virgin Vie and As You Like It.

With the money raised Save the Children will be able to buy a female Hairy Yak for the children of Tibet. Find out how this helps by clicking the Save the Children logo. The rest of the money will be used to help save the lives of  severely malnourished children.
